For individuals who have a [Texas](/concealed-carry-in-texas/use-of-force-continuum-in-texas "Use of Force Continuum in Texas") CHL/LTC, it is important to be aware of the states that honor this [license](/learn-about-ltc/applying-for-texas-license-to-carry/receiving-and-reviewing-your-ltc "Receiving and Reviewing Your LTC") to [carry](/concealed-carry-in-texas/concealed-carry-reciprocity-a-national-standard "Concealed Carry Reciprocity: A National Standard?") a concealed firearm. Understanding which states have concealed carry reciprocity agreements with Texas is crucial to avoid legal issues while carrying a concealed firearm. Currently, there are 37 states that recognize the Texas CHL/LTC, including all of the states bordering Texas, and popular travel destinations such as Florida, Colorado, and Nevada.
