2020 LTC/Non-LTC Convictions: AGG ROBBERY

Introduction

This article is intended to compare crime statistics between Texas LTC (License To Carry) and non-LTC holders for AGG ROBBERY in 2020. AGG ROBBERY is defined as the unlawful taking, carrying away, or exercising control of property from the immediate presence of another person by means of force or intimidation.

The study of the relationship between LTC holders and crime rates is an important one in order to assess the risks and benefits of obtaining a LTC. This article will present and analyze the data for 2020 to provide some insight into this relationship.

Crime Statistics among Texas LTC Holders

Analysis of the crime statistics for Texas LTC holders in 2020 showed that there were 2 convictions for AGG ROBBERY, representing 0.3% of all convictions for LTC holders in Texas that year. In comparison, there were 794 convictions for AGG ROBBERY for non-LTC holders, representing 46.2% of all convictions for non-LTC holders in the same year.

Factors that may contribute to the difference in crime statistics between Texas LTC and non-LTC holders

The implications of these findings are important to consider, as they suggest that obtaining an LTC may reduce the risk of becoming a victim of AGG ROBBERY. Furthermore, the findings of this study support the notion that individuals who are licensed to carry firearms are less likely to misuse them than those who are not licensed.
